WISE refreshes its brand with the IET to drive action on gender equity in STEM
We’ve evolved.
Women into Science and Engineering (WISE), together with the IET, has introduced a refreshed brand that reflects how our work is changing to meet the needs of today’s engineering, technology and construction sectors.
Our mission remains the same: to improve equity, participation and progression for women in STEM. But how we deliver that mission is sharper, more focused, and more action-driven than ever before.
From intention to action
Across the sector, organisations are navigating growing pressure. Skills shortages are intensifying. Retention is becoming harder. And expectations around equity and inclusion are rightly increasing.
We exist to help organisations respond.
Our refreshed brand signals a stronger commitment to practical, evidence-led solutions that move organisations beyond intent and into measurable progress.
Because change doesn’t happen through advocacy alone. It happens through action.
We don’t just advocate for change. We engineer it.
Supporting organisations at every stage
Alongside our new identity, we’ve introduced an updated membership model designed to deliver clearer value and targeted support.
Whether organisations are building foundational capability or embedding long-term, strategic change, our approach meets them where they are and helps them move forward with confidence.
This is about more than programmes or products. It’s about creating environments where women can succeed, progress and lead sustainably.
Facing the reality, shaping the future
The need for change is clear.
Women currently make up just 16.9% of the UK engineering workforce, shaped by persistent stereotypes, limited visibility of role models, and outdated perceptions of the profession.
We are working alongside the IET and our partners to change that.
By combining insight with action, and data with lived experience, we help organisations build inclusive cultures and clearer pathways into engineering. We amplify role models. We challenge perceptions. And we enable long-term, systemic progress.
Stronger together with the IET
This evolution strengthens our alignment with the IET’s wider commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion across the engineering sector.
Together, we’re creating a more connected, more inclusive future for engineering — one built on collaboration, evidence, and shared ambition.
What comes next
This is more than a new look.
It’s a renewed focus on impact. A clearer offer for organisations. And a stronger platform to drive meaningful, lasting change.
Because when women thrive in STEM, the whole sector moves forward.
Join us in engineering a more inclusive future.
