About the training course

Leadership behaviour has a measurable impact on performance, retention, innovation, and risk in STEM teams.

Poorly managed dynamics, unclear communication, and unchallenged bias can undermine technical capability and slow delivery - particularly in fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environments.

This one day course supports current and aspiring STEM leaders to strengthen how they lead people, not just projects. Participants examine how leadership behaviours influence decision‑making, team contribution, and psychological safety, and how small, repeatable changes in approach can improve team effectiveness and outcomes.

Using real STEM workplace scenarios, the course focuses on practical leadership behaviours across communication, feedback, conflict management, and decision‑making.

Participants explore how bias and micro‑behaviours affect who is heard, trusted, and supported - and how leaders can intervene effectively to maintain performance.

The course introduces the 5 Cs Framework as a practical tool for managing day‑to‑day leadership challenges, helping leaders diagnose issues, adjust behaviour, and respond consistently under pressure. Participants leave with a personalised action plan to apply learning directly to their role.
