From bias to better business: building inclusive STEM workplaces training course
Practical skills to build stronger performance, innovation, and retention
15 July 2026 or 21 October 2026
Virtual online
About the training course
This one day course help participants recognise how bias shows up in everyday workplace situations – including communication, team interactions, task allocation, and decision making.
Rather than focusing on intention, the course concentrates on outcomes: how behaviour, assumptions, and workplace norms shape who is listened to, supported, and able to contribute effectively.
Bias in everyday decisions can impact performance, innovation, and retention. This course helps individuals and organisations build the skills to make fairer, more effective decisions - improving both team outcomes and workplace culture.
Using examples drawn from real STEM environments, participants develop a shared understanding of bias and its effects alongside practical techniques for responding in the moment and adjusting everyday ways of working.
The course also introduces relevant legal and organisational considerations, supporting more consistent and defensible people-related decisions.
