About the training course

Designed for professionals and teams how want to learn how to be an effective ally and create a work STEM workplace where everyone can thrive.

During this seven hour course, you’ll explore what it truly means to be an ally and how your everyday actions can help build a more inclusive, supportive workplace – especially for women and underrepresented groups in STEM.

Through open conversations, hands-on activities, and personal reflection, you’ll gain the tools to challenge bias, understand privilege, and lead with empathy.This isn’t just about learning – it’s about doing.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with clear, actionable steps to become a more confident and impactful ally in your team and organisation.

Who should attend?

This course is designed for HR professionals, hiring managers, recruiters, and EDI practitioners working in STEM industries or academia.

It’s also ideal for recruitment agencies, senior leaders, and anyone involved in sourcing or selecting candidates for STEM roles.

This course also links to section E of the Engineering Council’s UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC).
